Closing of races of each day shall be one-half hour after the official local sunset. Starting time each
morning shall be one-half hour after the official local sunrise, visibility and weather are a consideration.
The period between the sunset and sunrise times is defined as "dead time." Organizations that are
geographically spread out may use sunrise and sunset times at a central point for determining dead time.
Our dead time "time out for Darkness" is Clear Lake, WI . A bird that is clocked before midnight during
dead time shall be awarded 1st day status. A bird that is clocked after midnight during dead time shall be
awarded 2nd day status.
The maximum length of a race shall be: one day race, up to 48 hours. A two day race, up to 72 hours
